About Santa Rick Nelson

Santa Rick Nelson has been a Santa Portrayal Artist for over 40 years while living in West Virginia, Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania. The moving has been due to him serving as a Ordained United Methodist minister over the last 36 years. In every community where he has served he preformed as Santa for local churches, schools, home visit, community parades, tree lightings and more. 

His Christian  faith has been at the core of Santa Rick Nelson’s portrayal. Santa Rick  keeps  the tradition of Saint Nicholas  as a servant of Christ and giver of gifts out of his love for Christ and Christ love for all at the center of his portrayal. He loves sharing  Christ and Christmas with all as he shares “Santa loves you!” 

In July of 2021 Santa Rick Nelson relocated to Bradford Pennsylvania and serves as Lead Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Bradford. Being a real beard, real hair and real belly Santa he was part of community and family celebrations of Christmas in Bradford, Cory, Warren, Franklin, Pittsfield, Youngsville and Eldred in Pennsylvania. He has also been a part of celebrations in Limestone, Olean and Salamanca in New York.
